Whiterock Court Retirement Community invites neighborhood seniors to BEST for Seniors exercise classes on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 11:00. Led by personal trainer, Ron Stein, BEST for Seniors stands for Balance, Equilibrium and Stability Training for Seniors.

One out of every three Americans over the age of 65 will fall this year. One of the best ways to reduce the risk of falling is to improve your coordination and sense of balance. This can be done by means of the specialized exercise program Stein provides. His motto is "Stabilize before you mobilize".

Stein will teach seniors how to use leverage and gravity to their advantage. Seniors will learn how to brace themselves for exertion and plan their movements in advance to maximize safety. These classes are fun and entertaining and they're frequently filled with laughter. In surveys, an overwhelming majority of BEST for Seniors participants credit the program with improving their outlook on life and giving them a renewed sense of optimism.
