Although it wasn't quite the perfect finish that the team pictured, the Lake Highlands High School wrestling team performed admirably at the UIL State Tournament in Austin and brought home multiple individual accomplishments to go along with their fourth place overall finish.

The Wildcats had six members compete in the tournament and half of them placed. D'Andre Brumfield had the best individual performance with a second place finish in his weight bracket. Thayer Atkins and Nathan Schulman both earned fourth place in their respective weight divisions.

As a team, Lake Highlands finished in fourth place with 53 points. First place went to Allen High School with 189 points. Canyon Randall was second with 90 points while Flower Mound had 82.5 points for third place.
