Audelia Road Library Friends begin their Fall Speaker Series with award-winning independent filmmaker, Cynthia Salzman Mondell, producer of more than 40 historically and socially - innovative films, who will discuss her work on Thursday evening, October 11th at 6:30 pm in the library’s auditorium.
Committed to having an impact on people’s lives, Cynthia and her husband Allen Mondell include among their most successful documentaries: A Fair To Remember, a social history of the State Fair of Texas; Sisters of ‘77, the 2nd wave of the Woman’s movement with Anne Richards and Betty Friedan; The Ladies Room; the secret world of women’s restrooms and the Six Films from the Sixth Floor Museum about the life, death and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. Currently she is producing Sole Sisters, a documentary revealing that every shoe has a story and every woman has both. Refreshments will be served at this free event.
