Lake Highlands drivers can look forward to traffic on Skillman for a long time

Everyone and their dog in Lake Highlands knows about the construction going on that begins at Skillman and Walnut Hill and travels down Skillman for miles. It's caused endless traffic jams and added some time to anyone commuting down that road. But does anyone know what it's actually for?

The construction is part of the Ferris Branch Project; it's goal is to replace an aging sewer line that runs in tunnel just underneath Skillman Road. Over one mile of pipes will be laid down from Skillman and Walnut Hill (start) to Stone River and Royal Lane (end).

How long will it all take? The estimated time needed to complete the project is about 27 months. If you're interested in learning more, check out this article by Lake Highlands Today.
