My name is Ollie, but my pet sitter, a human (or “Two Legs” as we like to call them), has nicknamed me “Ollie the Golden Tabby Retriever.”  Being a cat, I would never equate my superior intelligence and skills to anything remotely pertaining to those dull canines, but she thinks the nickname is cute.

Although I don’t like when my beloved human mother is away, I love when my pet sitter cares for me.  We have so much fun that I have cleverly devised a way to make my pet sitter miss me dearly when her visit is over. That way, she’ll always want to come back to care for me again.

Though I have many toys that I insist upon dropping in my water dish for my own amusement, I really enjoy the draw strings on a pair of my pet sitter’s shorts.  I let her know, too!  She got me some strings of my own - a pair of shoelaces that provides endless fun for my pet sitter and me. 

She drops the shoelaces on the floor, and I dash to get them, setting them in her lap in anticipation of her next move.   This quickly transitions into me bringing her all of my little toys, waiting for her to toss them across the living room so I can fetch them.  This happens over and over, and my pet sitter is always so impressed! 

She always tries to think of things to make me happy, and I try to make her happy as well.  Based on all the fun we have, I think it’s working!
