The safety of their children is always the primary concern of all parents. However, parents won't always be able to keep an eye on their kids, so teaching children about safety at a young age is paramount. To help with that endeavor, the Dallas Police Department Northeast Division is hosting a Crime Prevention Safety & Health Fair at Bryan Adams High School.

The event, which is called "Chief on the Beat," is hosted by Police and Fire Services, as well as the City of Dallas Services. It will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and there will be plenty to do the entire time for both kids and adults.

At the fair, there will be plenty of fun activities to engage in while adults learn about crime prevention information and ideas. There will also be free health screenings, as well as prizes, snacks, entertainment and sports. The police department will also be giving out free children's safety seats and bike helmets as prizes to aid in injury prevention.

This is an excellent event for kids to learn about safety and crime prevention while still having fun and enjoying themselves. To learn more, contact the Dallas Police Department Northeastern Division at 214-670-7747.
