It's no surprise that funding for education has been decreasing for some time now. However, Recapture/Robin Hood drains even more money from Lake Highlands High School - around $500,000 a year. To offset this, the school is constantly on the look for parents and community members to pitch in as academic boosters.

The money gained from the academic boosters, otherwise known as Wild for Cats, helps fund the Lake Highlands College and Career Center, staff development, supplies for new teachers and many other important needs. Without these additional funds, Lake Highlands would not be able to provide as good an education for its students, thus leaving them unprepared for college and the future.
