It isn't often that the elementary school one attended matters. However, for Lake Highlands High School seniors Julia Dankberg and Jake Gaba, their attendance at Moss Haven Elementary as children is what allowed them to win a scholarship from their former primary school.

The Moss Haven PTA initiated its scholarship fund for graduating seniors from Lake Highlands and Moss Haven Alumni back in 2001. Each year, the PTA awards two scholarships - one for a boy scholar and one for a girl scholar - in the amount of $1,500 each. Congratulations to Julia and Jake and best of luck in college!
