Spring is right around the corner and everyone knows what that means: it's time for baseball season. The Lake Highlands baseball team will actually be starting off their season on Wednesday, March 7. And if anyone needs another reason to go watch the local high school team play America's pastime, Wednesday night is also Dollar Hot Dog Night.

The Wildcats will be playing their first district game of the season against Samuell High School. The game will be held at Lake Highlands High School at 6:00 p.m. The dollar hot dogs will only last until supplies are exhausted. Lake Highlands is currently third in District 9-5A with a 6-5-1 overall record.

After their game with Samuell, the team will be taking part in the Elks Lodge Tournament, which is also being held at Lake Highlands. The tournament will last from Thursday, March 8 until Saturday, March 10.
