Spring is almost here and it's time to start clearing out the closet and attic of things that are old or no longer used. However, instead of just throwing it all away, go green and recycle it all. Lake Highlands Elementary will be hosting a Bubb Recycing Event on Saturday, March 31 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

The school will be accepting documents for shredding and electronics in any condition. They will also be accepting household items such as clothing, sporting goods, toys & games, books, and musical instruments. However, they will not be taking any furniture. And, even though this is a recycling event, they will not be recycling any chemicals.

Food-wise, the school will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for Network. There will also be food and drinks for sale at the event, as well as Lake Highlands clothing and other items. Proceeds from these sales and the Bubb truck will help send next year's fifth graders to science camp at Sky Ranch.
