For lovers of music and esecially jazz, there is an upcoming event that can't be missed. The Lake Highlands High School Jazz I band is teaming up with the Forest Meadow Junior High Jazz Band and special guests - the TCU Jazz Ensemble - to present "Evening of Jazz" on Friday, February 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Lake Highlands Freshman Center auditorium.

The Lake Highlands High School Jazz I band has some of the best high school musicians the state of Texas has to offer. The band boasts seven all-region and two all-state musicians. Addiitionally, two musicians in the TCU Jazz Ensemble hail from Lake Highlands - Garrett and Luke Wingfield - making next Friday night a homecoming of sorts.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the door; student tickets are $5, general tickets are $8 and reserved seating tickets are $10. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:00 p.m. show.
