When word got out that Luke Davis, the long-time Lake Highlands resident that had served on the RISD Board of Trustees for 12 years, would not be running for reelection in May of 2012, people wondered who would be stepping up to take his place. Now, another Lake Highlands resident has announced his bid to claim the empty chair.

Adam Meierhofer, a long-time Lake Highlands resident himself, will be running for Place 1 on the RISD Board of Trustees. Meierhofer is extremely active in the community; he is a board member for the Exchange Club of Lake Highlands and is a member of the Moss Haven Elementary PTA.

RISD has reported that no one else has picked up filing papers for the Place 1 seat at this time.
