A collision between two school buses in Lake Highlands on the morning of Tuesday, June 12, sent 17 students to the hospital with injuries. The accident - one school bus rear-ended another - occurred near the intersection of Skillman Street and Royal Lane.

Fortunately, the 17 students sent to the hospital were only sent for minor injuries, none of which are believed to be life threatening. All of the students are in the Richardson Independent School District between the grades of seventh through 11th.

Neither of the bus drivers were injured and the cause of the accident is under investigation.
