Chronic Pain & Fibro Sufferers To Learn Of Integrative Healthcare Approach

For the first time in Texas, a conference will offer an integrative look at successful ways to deal with chronic pain and fibromyalgia. The North Texas Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Conference, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 7, offers a no-stress opportunity to hear well-known speakers talk about integrative and alternative methods they use with their patients to manage chronic pain from a range of conditions, including car wrecks, old sports injuries, traumatic accidents and fibromyalgia. Attendees will have opportunities to ask questions. Those suffering with chronic pain, along with healthcare professionals, therapists, ministers and others who help those in chronic pain, will find the sessions useful.

Experts who will be speaking include physicians, a chiropractor, pharmacists and therapists, as well as others, who successfully help their patients manage pain. This daylong event will provide a window to "what else is out there" in dealing with chronic pain. Keynote speaker is Dr. Wm. Marcus Spurlock of Renewed Vitality in Dallas. Other speakers include Dr. Jerry Tennant, Bob Scarbrough and Lark Scarbrough, both registered pharmacists with Abrams Royal Compounding Pharmacy; chiropractor Darcy Brunk; Thomas Woods, an LMT and acupuncture instructure; Julie Euseppi, a therapist and yoga teacher; and Amie Rogers, a wellness coach.

Registration is $50 and includes lunch at the Doubletree by Hilton in Richardson. Go to the conference page  for information about the speakers and to register. Join the conversation at the conference Facebook page
