It's as Easy as Pie!

Working poor face significant challenges in caring for their daily basic needs. According to the United Way Community Assessment, 15% (582,868 people) in Dallas County live in poverty, and 39% have insufficient resources to stay out of poverty for three months in case of a lay off, a reduction in pay, or other life emergencies.  As the only comprehensive basic needs charity in north Dallas County, NETWORK began in 1985 as a 501(c)(3) community based nonprofit with the mission to "care, coach and empower our neighbors in need as they seek an improved quality of life." NETWORK provides food, shelter, clothing, utility assistance, and healthcare to low-income families, and seniors.

NETWORK participated in the North Texas Giving Day on Thursday, September 18, 2014. This was an online giving campaign through the Community Foundation of Texas. NETWORK hosted an in-house pie tasting contest for our dedicated volunteers to participate in! The pie tasting was a great success, and the tag line "It's as Easy as Pie" helped raise over $32,000.00! NETWORK would like to thank all individuals, groups, corporations and organizations that contributed to this event.
