It all started back in 1992, when six artists in the White Rock Lake area opened up their studios and allowed the public to view their work. 19 years later, the White Rock Lake Artists’ Studio Tour includes more than 50 artists and five art centers. This year’s two-day event takes place on October 15th and 16th and is spread throughout several East Dallas subdivisions.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days, the public is invited to take the free, self-guided tour around the White Rock Lake area and visit the studios and artists. A variety of work will be on display: everything from mosaics to clay art to printmaking. Make sure to print out a map of the tour, with each studio’s location, found here. You’ll definitely need a car to get around, as some of the stops are spread across the community.
