Lake Highlands Junior High School faculty and students are inviting the Lake Highlands community to pitch in and help out the school's "Moment of Service" Food Drive Campaign. The food drive will benefit the North Texas Food Bank and has a goal of 1,000 pounds of food. The collection date has been extended to Thursday, November 10.

The North Texas Food Bank appreciates all donations but is looking, in particular, for nonperishable foods. Even more specifically, they want food items which support healthy eating habits.

Canned foods: Beans, Tuna, Ham, Soup, Fruit, Chili, Peanut Butter

Packaged foods: Energy Bars, Pudding Cups, Fruit Rolls, Crackers, Granola Bars

Please bring any and all donations to the next LHJH PTA meeting on Monday, November 7. There will be a collection box available for the items in the foyer.
