The Dallas Marathon board of trustees today announced Luke’s Locker Inc. as an official merchandising partner of the 2013 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and 5-Person Relay. The Texas-based running and fitness apparel store will retail official MetroPCS Dallas Marathon-branded clothing and accessories in-store, online and at the Dallas Marathon’s Health & Fitness Expo over race weekend, December 6 through 8.
“We are excited to partner with Luke’s Locker to offer exclusive MetroPCS Dallas Marathon running apparel and gear,” said Patrick Byerly, president of the Dallas Marathon. “Luke’s is a household name among runners throughout the region — we are grateful for this opportunity to work together to promote the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon.”
Luke’s Locker will unveil training shirts, T-shirts, hats, water bottles and more in the months leading up to the December 8 race. New Balance running apparel will also be offered.
“It was important to us to partner with the official marathon of the city of Dallas to support the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon runners,” said Matt Lucas, president of Luke’s Locker Inc. “The Marathon is a first-class event for our city and state, and we look forward to extending our relationship with the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon through merchandise."
MetroPCS Dallas Marathon products will be available online beginning in late September and through race weekend, as supplies last. Luke’s Locker has 10 storefronts in Texas, with five located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The MetroPCS Dallas Marathon is the only race to partner with Luke’s Locker for official marathon apparel.
