(Dallas, TX): Council for Life (CFL) is pleased to present the 12th Annual 5K Run for Life, Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the Continental Bridge in Trinity Groves. This is an extra special year as CFL is celebrating their 20th Anniversary! The family friendly event celebrates and raises awareness about the joys and miracles of adoption and foster care. Run proceeds will benefit Christian Homes & Family Services, ChristianWorks for Children/AdoptionWorks, Embrace Waiting Children, and Lifeline Children’s Services. These four local organizations are committed to helping every child, from babies to teens, find hope and healing through family foster care, reunification with relatives or the blessing of adoption. Longtime supporters of Council for Life, adoptive parents and avid runners, The Cathy and Tony Sisk Family are serving as Honorary Chairs for the Run. 2021 Council for Life President Lee Anne Morris says “We encourage everyone to walk, run, push your child in a stroller, and even bring your dog, while enjoying the beautiful Dallas skyline and helping the cause of adoption and foster care!”“This family event is the perfect way to spend your morning with great food, music and fun, and we are proud to host a day celebrating strong families built by adoption and foster care!” states 2021 Run for Life Co-Chairs and Young Leaders for Life Michelle Dodds and Emily Vanderstraaten. 

Sponsorship donations can be made online now at councilforlife.org/run-for-life. All sponsors will be honored at CFL’s Run Kickoff Party on the evening of Thursday, April 15, at Saint Rocco’s in Trinity Groves with a cocktail reception and program featuring the four Run Beneficiaries, live music from the MalFUNKtions and breathtaking views of the Dallas skyline and Run racecourse.

Register yourself or your team at councilforlife.org/run-for-life. Pre-registration fee of $35 per person includes t-shirt, timing chip and post-event refreshments. The cost is $40 after April 10. Packet pick-up is on Thursday, April 15 and Friday, April 16 at Luke's Locker, Mockingbird Lane. Any student, child, or adoptive or foster care family member or birth parent will receive a discounted registration fee.Adopted and fostered children may participate free of charge! Can’t make the Run? Sign up as a virtual runner and run from wherever you are!
