Beat the rush and get a head start on all your holiday shopping at the 2012 Market in the Meadow this weekend. 

More than one hundred vendors will be selling unique gifts and specialty merchandise for two days and all proceeds from the event will benefit the Forest Meadow Junior High PTA. Shoppers will be able to everything from clothing & accessories, to various types of art and even home decor and gifts. 

And while you're doing all that shopping, you'll need to fuel up on some great eats. From delicious BBQ sandwiches from the Charger Cafe to an array of baked goods, there will something for every appetite. Soft drinks and coffee will also be available for purchase.

Plus, Espree, the Lake Highlands High School show choir, will help shoppers get in the groove. The show choir will perform in the courtyard outside the cafeteria at Forest Meadow Junior High School on Sunday, October 21. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 2:45 p.m. Show choirs from Forest Meadow Junior High School and Lake Highlands Freshmen Center will sing just before the Espree performance.

 The market kicks off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 20 and closes at 5 p.m. Doors will reopen on Sunday, October 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

You won't want to miss this annual event, held in the Forest Junior High gymnasium, so be sure to mark your calendars!
