On Saturday, Nov. 3rd, 19 Lake Highlands High School choir students performed in the Texas Music Educators Association Region III choir concert. This is an honor each student won at the TMEA Region III competition in October. Over 600 choir students from Richardson ISD, Garland ISD, Mesquite ISD and several other smaller districts sang portions of three pieces and sight read for a panel of judges; 180 were selected for the Region choir.
Students listed in bold will continue to the next phase of competition, Pre-Area on Nov. 13th in Garland, hoping to advance to Area competition in January and ultimately the TMEA All-State Choirs.
