The Lake Highlands Women’s League is proud to announce our Annual “Holiday in the Highlands” Home Tour and Holiday Market on Friday December 7, 2012.  The Home Tour is our largest annual fundraiser which provides funds for scholarships for Lake Highlands area students and benefits community projects!

2012 Chairmen Carolyn Murray & Allison Brown have done an excellent job in selecting a wonderful variety of homes in the Lake Highlands Area.  The neighborhood homes this year will consist of existing original houses, a newly constructed home, a renovated existing home and a unique hunting theme home that will get a lot of attention.

There are four homes on the tour this year and are located at:

The purpose of Lake Highlands Women's League is to unite and promote the Lake Highlands area through service to the community. Our membership is committed to volunteerism and meeting the needs of our community. Each active member volunteers at least four times per year at one or more of our many service projects provided each year, returning over 800 service hours to our neighborhood. These opportunities range from mentoring/tutoring students in area schools to providing lunch and entertainment to the elderly in area nursing homes to shelving books at the neighborhood school library.

The Lake Highlands Women's League has been serving the Lake Highlands community for over 40 years. We currently have 100 active members and 194 sustaining members. During the last 40 years the Lake Highlands Women's League has raised and distributed an impressive amount of money to some very worthy causes. The accumulated total of funds donated in college scholarships to Lake Highland seniors is over $1,318,000.00. The funds disbursed to other community organizations, school and capital projects is over $602,587.00, making our grand total of funds distributed over the last 41 years almost 2 Million dollars! We are proud of our organization and the contribution we have made to the Lake Highlands community

The entire membership is involved in our "Holiday in the Highlands" Home Tour, Market and Luncheon. This is our only fundraiser, the "kickoff" to the Christmas season, and a wonderful neighborhood event! Last year approx $160,000.00 was disbursed from LHWL for local student scholarships and community projects.
