Face masks are needed more than ever - and for some first responders, they're coming from a unique and unlikely place this summer - Woodrow Wilson High School's Robotics Club, The RoboCats.

Led by Teach For America DFW alum and Woodrow Wilson High School engineering teacher Dan Garrison, the RoboCats leader and his students are using 3D printers to create face shields for first responders in the face of the COVID-19 crisis and shortage of shields.

The RoboCats are aiming to create 1,000 masks per week for first responders using their skills, 3D printers and funding from the community. Donate here to support their efforts. Members of the community can also denote if they have a 3D printer accessible to assist with the efforts.
