On Wednesday, April 10, Lake Highlands business owner Terri Hoover was honored by your local House Rep. Jason Villalba on the House floor in Austin. Terri's son, Jake died in a car accident in 2005, after being ejected from the vehicle he was riding in. Jake was not wearing a seat belt. Terri began a billboard campaign to make young people aware that this CAN happen to them. The last six months have been bittersweet with recognition not only on the House floor but in publications like The Dallas Morning News, Advocate magazines, Rockwall and Royse City news outlets, and also the Lake Highlands Exchange Club's newsletter.

If we can just get the attention of young people and encourage them to buckle up, it just might save a life or two!

If you would like to help us get the word out, please contact Terri at The Artistik Edge 214-349-3888 or at clickit4life@gmail.com, or you can check out our website here
