While in Washington, D.C., the Lake Highlands High School Wildcat Wranglers participated in a ceremony at the famous Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where they got to lay a wreath at the site.

Wranglers website manager and LHHS parent Kelley Hurst said the experience was emotional for everyone watching.

"We parents did okay until they started playing 'Taps', then some of us started to cry," she said.

The Wranglers were invited to D.C. to perform country-western dance routines at the Texas State Society Black Tie and Boots Ball and visited several attractions while there.
