The Winter Holidays is all about the gift of giving. So, this year, give the gift of a home to a pet and adopt one at the SPCA of Dallas Home for the Holidays Pet Adoption Center. The adoption event is being held at NorthPark Center and will start on Friday, November 25 and run for one month until Friday, December 23.

Members of the SPCA will be available to help families make the best decision on what animal, breed, size and age to adopt. Adoption fees also very depending on what kind of animal is being adopted and what age it is.

Puppies that are less than six months old will be $185-285 while dogs that are between six months and seven years will cost between $95-195. Finally, senior dogs older than seven years old will be $75. VIP dogs are dogs that have been waiting for a home for over 30 days and will given away to a loving home for $50.

Kittens will cost $125 while cats are $95. Seniors cats that are seven years and older are $75 and VIP cats are $50.

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, all age-appropriate vaccinations, de-worming treatment, heartworm test for dogs that are six months and older, initial heartworm preventative for dogs, feline leukemia test for cats, micro chipping and a free leash or cardboard cat carrier.
