Lake Highlands (1-1) started off the season with a strong offensive display against Mesquite High School but came up empty last week against Mesquite Horn, 20-0. This week, the Wildcats hope to get things turned around when they travel to Garland High School on Thursday, September 8.

Lake Highlands will need a better performance from their quarterback, Micheal Ketchmark, if they hope to stand a chance. Ketchmark completed only seven passes last week for 68 yards. Running back DeVonte Sunwenghan also had an off night against Mesquite Horn and will look to have a big game against Garland.

Garland is winless on the season, having dropped its first two games to Denton Guyer and Duncanville. Garland quarterback Seth Russell has been erratic, completing only 44.4-percent of his passes for 330 yards and two touchdowns. He hasn't had much of a running game to help him though. The Owls don't have a single rusher with more than 100 yards. Their top running back is Malcolm Miller with 68 yards.

The Wildcats and Owls will kick off tonight at 7:00 p.m.
