New Barre 'Belle' Class Begins At Positively Fit Lake Highlands

Barre Fitness is a growing trend around the nation, and it's no wonder.  Barre classes, which center around a ballet barre, are a unique blend of Pilates, yoga, danc  and strength work.  They typically begin with an intense warm up, followed by standing leg work at the ballet barre, upper body work using light to medium dumbbells and floor core work.  

The benefits of barre class are many; because they are working all major muscle groups, participants can see results in muscular endurance and the length and shape of muscles.  Clients report looking longer and leaner, feeling taller, more balanced, more flexible and more toned. This low-impact strength workout is typically performed barefoot or in sticky socks (socks with grips on them). Most studios charge upwards of $200/month for this type of workout.
