Lake Highlands' residents won't be too pleased to hear it but initial rumors are saying that Trader Joe's likely will not be building a site in the Lake Highlands area. Pegasus News has several unnamed sources claiming that the store has two possible locations in mind and neither is the Lake Highlands Town Center.

The first location is at Walnut Hill and Central Expressway (U.S. 75), otherwise known as Midtown Park. The site is an ideal location for Trader Joe's, as it will service Preston Hollow and Lake Highlands and is right next to the freeway.

The second location is supposedly on Knox-Henderson and would be built primarily for the Highland Park, Uptown and possibly Lakewood crowd. Parking would be a major concern but a Trader Joe's would definitely thrive in that location.
