Dallas United Crew has had much success these past few weeks, both in rowing and dragon boating on the regional and national scale.   On September 20 and 21, the DUC Delite Dragon Boat team competed in the nation’s largest competitive festival, the 19th Annual San Francisco International Dragon Boat race. Competing against more than 140 teams and 3500 paddlers, the Delite placed in the top twenty teams and took first place in the Competitive B Consolation Final.

On Saturday, September 27th, the Delite again took to the water, earning a gold and a bronze medal in OKC’s Paddlefest Night Races in Oklahoma City, complete with fireworks.  The event included friendly competition with OKC teams and the Gulf Coast Alliance teams.  Our Delites earned the gold in the 200m 20-man boat and the bronze in the 200m 10-man boat.  Congratulations!

The DUC high school rowing team began their fall rowing race season on Oct 3rd-5th at the Head of Oklahoma Regatta Festival at the OKC River Sports District on the Oklahoma River.  Great fall weather greeted us as we competed in our races. DUC did a great job of preparing for the season and this weekend all that hard work paid off.

DUC finished in first place in the medal count for all Texas youth teams, including sweep and sculling teams, making them the top Texas Youth Team at the event.  Ten Dallas United Crew boats medaled - 6 Varsity and 4 Novice - earning a total of 78 individual medals.   The official results are:
