Have Fun, Win Prizes And Learn At Peace Day Dallas – Awareness Adventure On Sept. 21

Lace up your tennies and head downtown on Sept. 21 for Peace Day Dallas – Awareness Adventure, a three-and-a-half mile loop with clues and answers regarding the city’s journey through history.

Using a touring app on your mobile device, you’ll walk through the city, learning about our area’s past, present and future. This is not a race – you can start anytime between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. – but you will be challenged to be part of a more progressive city. And you’ll have the chance to win prizes, including roundtrip air flights for domestic and foreign travel!

Awareness Adventure starts and ends at the Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance at 211 N. Record St. in the West End. The first stop is Dealey Plaza. All tours must be completed by 5 p.m.

Open to all ages, the guided mobile tour will offer fun facts, exciting trivia and great stories about our city, state, nation and world, including historical events taught through art, landscape and architecture. Former WFAA/Channel 8 anchor Gloria Campos, KTVT-TV/Channel 11’s Ken Molestina and Dallas City Council member Jennifer Staubach Gates, daughter of Dallas Cowboys legend Roger Staubach, will all be there.

Proceeds of Awareness Adventure will be divided between the Dallas Holocaust Museum and CISV DFW, an all-volunteer organization which hosts a variety of educational programs each year.

The cost is $20 per adult and $10 per student for families and teams of five or more. Individuals are $25 per adult and $12 per student. Children 6 and younger are free.
