Record-Setting Florida Youth Coach Swaps Sarasota for Dallas, Joins White Rock Rowing Staff

After leading Sarasota youth to national championship title seven years in a row, Caitlynn Crouch joins White Rock Rowing staff as new assistant coach for men’s youth varsity

DALLAS, TX (April 5, 2023) – Local rowing club White Rock Rowing – the only Dallas rowing crew to hold multiple national youth championship trophies (2014, 2021) – has bolstered its coaching staff with the addition of Caitlynn Crouch as the new assistant coach of the men’s youth varsity.

With more than 15 years’ experience in the sport, Crouch signed on with White Rock Rowing following a nine-year run with the Sarasota Crew men’s youth varsity in Florida. There, she played a crucial role in leading the men’s 8+ boat to the winner’s podium at the youth national championships for the longest streak in the club’s history – seven years in a row. During that time, she also worked as regatta director for the Sarasota Crew, coordinating with over 30 teams and 500 athletes for races in the Florida west districts.

In her collegiate career, Crouch was a coxswain for the San Diego University women’s varsity crew for four years. After graduating she pursued coaching and became assistant coach for the University of California San Diego, supporting training, development and recruitment efforts. In 2017, Crouch joined the USRowing men’s junior national team managing logistical and financial operations.

“White Rock Rowing is thrilled to welcome Coach Crouch to our coaching staff with her impressive career and her passion for making rowing accessible to youth. We are proud to continue providing junior athletes in Dallas with the best leadership that can mentor them on and off the water,” said Sue Ellen Chambers, president and board chair of White Rock Boathouse, Inc. – the nonprofit that operates White Rock Rowing.
