Local Dallas resident 5-year-old Julie Lampl took home the awards for both Overall Actor and Overall Model in the Pixie Category (ages 3-5) at a top national talent competition in Orlando, FL. This month Lampl took home top honors at AMTC’s SHINE event after performing in front of entertainment industry scouts. In Preparation for Shine, a bi-annual talent showcase bringing together aspiring actors, models and singers, Lampl completed more than 50 hours of training. More than 700 performers from across the nation auditioned in front of approximately 75 of the industry’s top talent scouts, studio directors, agents and music producers.

Hosted by AMTC (Actors, Models & Talent for Christ), a Christian company with a 29-year track record of preparing talent to pursue acting, modeling, dance and music. SHINE is a week-long talent showcase where performers have the opportunity to audition for, meet with and learn from top industry agents, managers and talent scouts. SHINE performers were selected from auditions held in more than 20 cities across the country. Performers who qualified for SHINE then completed a comprehensive training program before heading to Orlando to participate in the event.
