Cooler weather is on the way to North Texas and that means that autumn is almost upon us. To celebrate the changing of the seasons, come out to White Rock Lake on Saturday and pitch in on the monthly Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce Up with For the Love of the Lake.

Volunteers should plan to meet at FTLOTL on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. While volunteers start getting ready for the morning's work, they can grab some breakfast food from Another Broken Egg Cafe, Cafe Lago and Wal-Mart. Drinks will also be provided: coffee from Starbucks, orange juice and chocolate milk from Oak Farms Dairy.

Cleaning supplies will be provided for all volunteers. Trash bags will be provided by Lowes while recycling bags are given courtesy of the City of Dallas Recycling Department. To make life easier, reach-it tools will also be given out and gloves will be provided thanks to Doctors Hospital.

To encourage volunteers to stick around and return, anyone that participates to two consecutive Spruce-Ups will receive a Second Saturday t-shirt as a reward.

White Rock Lake is the jewel park of Dallas and it stays beautiful thanks to organizations like For the Love of the Lake and all the volunteers that help keep it clean. Join in this Saturday!
