The Texas High School Coaches Association has released their annual Academic All-State teams for multiple sports and Lake Highlands High School athletes have represented their school well. The football team has six representatives and the volleyball team has another four.

From the football team, Will Moomaw led the way by being earning an "Elite" status, which was only awarded to 70 high school student-athletes in the state. Two of his teammates, Zach Fleig and Alex Wittel, were awarded 2nd team honors and three others earned Honorable Mention - Jordan Dann, Jonathan Iheke and Garrett Reeves.

On the volleyball team, Megan Garcia also earned the coveted "Elite" status. One of her teammates, Matalee Reed was placed on 2nd team while Ann Jaggars and Katelyn Sefko were Honorable Mentions.
