Take the night off and relax and come out the annual National Night Out party at White Rock Valley Elementary School on Tuesday, August 7 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. This event is free to the public and is an excellent chance to catch up with old friends and make some new ones.

This is the perfect event to bring the kids to. There will be giant slides, a petting zoo, pony rides and bounce houses. For food, everyone can chow down on some hot dogs, snow cones and some refreshing cold water.

For the parents, this is a good opportunity to learn about neighborhood safety and to meet their fellow neighbors. Several Dallas Fire Rescue personnel and Dallas Police Department officers from the Northeast Station - including Deputy Chief Gloria Perez - will on hand. A fire truck from Station 57, Dallas Police Department Command Center and helicopter will also be at the scene.

Some of the top officials in Dallas will make an appearance as well. Residents can meet Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and District 10 City Councilmember Jerry Allen. Don't miss out on this friendly neighborhood event.
